Flower Photography

  1. Macro photography lets you get close up to the subject for great close-ups.
  2. Some limitations for macro photography is a narrow depth of field, which might make your photo blurry. Also, it has an increased exposure time, and you can get a blurry picture.
  3. The best lighting conditions for shooting flowers outside are bright or overcast days.
  4. To minimize the effects of wind, you can stand between the flower and the wind, or wait for the wind to die.
  5. You should get an odd number of flowers in the shot 3-5.
  6. Trees, other plants, or buildings could cast bad shadows.
  7. Some advantages of using a tripod is that it steadies your camera and reduces the chance that you'll get a blurry image. You can also use it to position your camera low to the ground.
  8. The main thing to avoid with your background is to have it the same as your subject.
  9. The main idea is to respect the enviornment.
  10. You may want to switch from macro lanscape mode, to see the big picture.
